Feldenkrais ® - One-to-One sessions

In one-to-one Feldenkrais sessions, which typically last 45 minutes, I dedicate my attention to your specific needs and help you to organise your movement better. During the first session I will get an overview of how you currently organise your movement and will discuss how we can work together to improve your functional integrity.

During Feldenkrais sessions you lie fully clothed (wearing loose, comfortable clothing) on a low treatment table. I use gentle touch to offer your nervous system new ways to organise your movement. This process gives you more options in how you move. It helps to release you from your deeply ingrained movement patterns which no longer serve you well. The process is pain free. I move your body only where it is freely able to go. No unnecessary force is used.

If appropriate I will give you some Feldenkrais movement sequences to practice at home, between sessions, which I have chosen specifically to address your personal needs. These movement sequences help to consolidate the process of learning to move in a more beneficial manner and to bring about enduring change. Joining a weekly class or attending workshops offer further opportunities to explore Feldenkrais in a group setting. More information is available here.
